Replacing the battery in the key fob of a Jeep Cherokee is a very simple and quick operation. You will only need a small flathead screwdriver and a new battery, which should be the correct model, specifically a flat CR 2032 battery rated at 3V. Take the key fob and slide the lever on the top of the casing; this will allow you to extract the metal key inside. At this point, use the tip of the screwdriver to pry open the edge of the casing. Proceed to replace the old battery with the new one and simply close the key fob by snapping the two sides together with your fingers.
