This tutorial shows that replacing the battery of the Jeep Grand Cherokee remote is an extremely simple and cost-effective operation. Before proceeding, obtain two CR2016 replacement batteries and a small flathead screwdriver. To open the remote, locate the slot on the bottom right side, then insert the screwdriver into it and, levering, separate it in half. Once done, remove the old battery using the screwdriver and insert the replacements, positioning both with the positive side facing you.
