How do you replace the engine oil on a Kia Sportage? Watch this guide video to learn the procedure: lift the car on a column lift and unscrew the oil sump plug (located under the plastic cap), allowing the oil to drain into a container (tighten the plug after draining). Use a strap wrench to unscrew the oil filter, remove it, and fit a new one, ensuring it is properly sealed around the thread. Lower the car, then open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Finally, refit the oil filter cap, tighten the screws, and top up with new oil.
