If the electronic tailgate of your car won't open, fold down the rear seatback to access the boot from the inside. Look for the manual release mechanism, which on Kia/Hyundai is located in the panel with a white lever.

The first thing to check is the wires in the sheath near the hinge: continuous movement can break the internal cables. Pull the sheath and check for any broken wires.

If the wires are fine, the problem may be the external button; check the rubber cover. If it is damaged, water and moisture can enter, and water can corrode the circuit board, as shown in the video.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
