How do you replace the engine oil and filter on a Kia Sportage? This is a simple operation if you follow the correct steps. Lift the car on a column lift or jack, after removing the cover panel, use a socket wrench to unscrew the oil sump bolt and allow the fluid to drain into a disposal container; re-tighten the oil sump bolt. Replace the worn filter with a new one (as shown in the video). Lower the car to the ground and lift the bonnet: secure it and top up with the new fluid. Measure the oil level multiple times with the metal dipstick until you reach the ideal measurement.
