In this tutorial, we can see how to deactivate the passenger airbag in the KIA Rio, an extremely simple and quick operation, to be carried out necessarily after placing a child seat facing the opposite direction of travel. First of all, make sure the vehicle is turned off, then go to the passenger side, open the door and locate the switch located on the outer wall of the dashboard. Then, remove the metal key from the remote control, insert it into the switch and move it to the "OFF" position. To reactivate the airbag, simply move the switch to the "ON" position.
