Let's see how to check the actual range on the Kia Ceed MK1: this is a very simple procedure. Insert the key to turn on the ignition without starting the engine (but you can also do this with the engine running) and locate the "trip" button on the right spoke of the steering wheel, at the bottom. Press it repeatedly until the display on the dashboard, between the speedometer and the rev counter, shows the word "range": the value indicates the estimated miles you can travel with the remaining fuel in the tank, based on recent average consumption. Clearly, this is not an exact figure: it can vary based on driving style, traffic, road conditions, and more.
