To replace the engine air filter in a Kia Niro, open the bonnet and locate the air filter box, situated in the engine compartment and connected to the intake pipe. Unlock the retaining clips or loosen the screws of the cover, depending on the vehicle version, then lift it to access the filter element. Remove the old filter and check that there is no dust, leaves, or other debris inside the housing, removing them with a clean cloth. Place the new filter in the housing, ensuring the correct orientation and that it fits snugly around the entire perimeter. Close the filter box cover, secure it with the clips or tighten the previously loosened screws, and check that the intake duct is properly secured. Finally, start the engine to verify that the intake system is functioning correctly.
