Dismantling the Radio Dashboard

Model: Kia Sorento MK 2 - Years 2009-2014

Position the gear lever in the central position and gently push up the frame and the gear lever cover, simultaneously moving the gear knob in circular motions while pulling it upwards until it is completely removed. Remove the centre tunnel by gently lifting it upwards and disconnect the cigarette lighter connector. Remove the ashtray drawer by unfastening it from the plastic clips at the bottom. Unscrew the nuts inside the tunnel that hold the radio support using a ratchet wrench. Using a plastic spatula, gently remove the panel along the edges, which should be carefully pulled upwards. At this point, lift the entire console from the tunnel and disconnect the auxiliary service connectors at the back of the radio.
