Replacement of Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Kia Sportage MK 2, KM - Years 2004-2010

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the front wheel; then disconnect the wear sensor support brackets and the brake fluid pipe from the shock absorber; also disconnect the link from the suspension wishbone and then remove the shock absorber mounting bolts at the hub. Access the engine bay and unscrew the mounting nuts of the shock absorber at the body strut. Once the shock absorber with spring is removed, use appropriate clamps to compress the spring and remove the mount to fit onto the new shock absorber. Proceed in reverse for installation back onto the vehicle.
