Replacing the KIA Sportage remote control battery is very simple, let's see how to proceed in this tutorial. For this operation we only need a small flat-tipped screwdriver and obviously a spare battery, model CR2032. We start by extracting the metal emergency key by pressing the appropriate button, then insert the tip of the screwdriver into the newly released slot and leveraging the remote control in two. Finally, we extract the discharged battery and insert the new one, taking care to put the positive pole down.

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through.
