Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: Kia Cee D MK 1 - Years 2006-2012

Position the vehicle on suitable ramps to facilitate access to the oil sump; open the front bonnet and unscrew the oil filler cap to aid drainage; then place a container under the sump to collect the used oil and unscrew the drain plug; once drained, refit the plug, replacing the copper washer; access the engine bay and remove the plastic cover on the engine to reach the oil filter cartridge: it is located at the front of the engine next to the oil level dipstick; then unscrew the plastic cover, remove the old cartridge and insert the new one, also replacing the supplied O-ring seals; tighten the filter container cap and fill the engine with new oil until the correct level is reached.
