Here’s how to change the oil and filters for a Kia Sportage. You can find an oil change kit, for example, on eBay for £104.49 including delivery, which includes 6 litres of SAE 5W30 oil, the fuel filter, air filter, cabin filter, and oil filter. Also, get a container for draining the oil, which you will then dispose of at an authorised centre. First, open the oil cap on the upper tank, then go under the vehicle and with a 17 mm spanner, open the oil sump to let the oil drain into the container. It is advisable to change the cap, or at least the gasket, when changing the oil. Now replace the filter. Here too, you will need to drain a bit of oil.
