How to Replace the Key Battery on a Kia Sportage

This video shows how to replace the key battery on a Kia Sportage. The battery is a CR2025. To replace it, first extract the emergency key by pulling it outwards. After extracting the emergency key, use a flathead screwdriver to lift the sides of the key to open the casing and remove the cover. Once the cover is removed, you can access the key battery. Simply remove the battery cover by pulling it out. At this point, underneath the cover is the battery; to remove it, use the flathead screwdriver previously used to open the key. Now, insert the new battery by pressing it in and close the key by pressing with your fingers to secure it, then reinsert the emergency key.
