Land Rover Freelander - Video tutorial

Model: Land Rover Freelander Freelander 1 - Years 1997-2006
Part: Arm
Operation: Removing the lower front arm of a Freelander

Let's see in this video how to remove the front arm of a Freelander Land Rover. First of all: we put the car on a column bridge and loosen the wheel pins with a telescopic wrench, then, we lift the car to the preferred height and take off the rim. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the lower locking pin of the arm and the pin mounted under the wheel hub (let's help ourselves with a compressed air screwdriver). Remove the arm from the pin seat with the help of a toothed crowbar. We always compare the parts to be replaced with new ones, if they are suitable, we can assemble them. Now we begin the assembly of the new piece: insert the arm in the two ends of the guides and we begin to tighten all the bolts on the threads shown in the video (we hook the arm to the wheel hub and to the other end of the frame). We double check that we have tightened everything well, we assemble the rim to finish the job.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
