How to Enable/Disable Interior Lights on a Range Rover Evoque

Model: Land Rover Evoque L551, MK 2 - Years 2018-2026

Learn how to enable and disable the automatic interior lights on a Range Rover Evoque (the procedure is valid for many generations of the vehicle). The operation is controlled with a single physical button located on the roof: to disable the interior lights, press and hold the button with the light and door icon (typical symbol: a square wave with an arrow coming out), Hold for 3 seconds. The interior lights will flash, and the message "interior lights off" will appear on the instrument cluster display. To re-enable the automatic interior lights, press and hold the same button. After about 3 seconds, the lights will flash, and the message "interior lights auto" will appear on the display. This function is useful when replacing bulbs; if you want to enter or exit the vehicle unnoticed; to conserve the car battery, or if you are transporting pets in the trunk.
