Replacing the Battery in a Land Rover Key

Model: Land Rover Evoque L538, MK 1 - Years 2011-2018

Slide the silver side part out of its slot and then remove it. You will now have access to the manual key, which you can pull out. Use the key itself or a small flathead screwdriver to pry open the central space of the key housing and split it in half. Voila! At this point, you will see the CR2025 battery, which you can remove and replace with a new one you purchased (easily found at a hardware store or large supermarket). Reassemble everything in reverse order: join the two halves, insert the manual key, and finally the side cover.
