Before proceeding with the disassembly of the car radio, it is advisable to pull the handbrake and move the gear lever backwards to have more room for maneuver. Then lower the collar located under the gear lever and unscrew the fixing screw of the knob to be able to remove it. Using a plastic lever, unclip the frame around the gear lever and disconnect the sockets; unscrew the screws underneath, including the one under the glovebox behind the gear lever and remove the center console frame by disconnecting the sockets behind it. At this point unscrew the fixing screws of the center console (which includes the air conditioning controls in addition to the car radio) and disconnect the sockets to be able to extract it from its seat.

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother.
