Painting Plastic Engine Covers

To give the engine bay a more attractive appearance, consider painting the plastic covers to match the car or with an aluminium effect. It is essential to use an appropriate paint that is resistant to high temperatures, and above all, thoroughly clean the parts to be painted to remove any grease and/or oil residues.

Next, remove the plastic covers, wash them again with a degreaser, sand the surface, apply primer, and then paint, masking if you wish to use two shades. Wait for the correct drying times and reinstall.
