How to Replace the Car Thermostat

Model: Lexus RX Al10, MK 3 - Years 2008-2015
Part: Thermostat

The thermostat is the device that manages the car's temperature. If the engine overheats or does not reach a normal temperature, the thermostat is likely faulty and needs replacing. It is located under a housing near the water pump, on the cylinder head. This guide shows how to change it. First, leave the car off for a few hours and then remove the radiator cap. Once the hose is removed, you will be able to locate the radiator, from which you need to disconnect the hoses and the bolts connecting it to the engine. The new one should be positioned exactly in the same place as the old one, ensuring that the previously disconnected hoses are correctly reconnected.
