To replace the radio in a Lincoln MKX, use a tool to pry off the plastic panels located beneath the radio and around the display, also loosening the securing screws. Once these trim pieces are removed, unscrew the screws that secure the radio display in its housing, disconnecting the connectors at the back. After the unit is freed, connect the new one, secure it with the appropriate screws, and reinstall the previously removed trim pieces.
