How do you replace the ashtray of the Lincoln MKX?

In order to replace the ashtray of the Lincoln MKX, you need to pry it with an object so that you can detach the cover of the car's center console: once this has been removed from its housing, you can locate the screws that secure the ashtray to its housing. By loosening these screws, you can remove the ashtray and disconnect the connectors at the back; after removing the old ashtray, you can insert the new one in its place, connecting and securing it with the appropriate screws, finally covering everything with the center console cover.
