To adjust the valves on the Malaguti Password 250, you need to open the under-seat compartment and remove the helmet storage compartment below, along with the panel located behind the footrest area. This will allow you to detach the side cover that covers the camshaft pulley: it must be rotated so that the two references align, as the piston needs to be at top dead centre. Only then will it be possible to check the valve clearance using a feeler gauge and adjust them as necessary; you can then reassemble all the removed parts.
