Maxus G10 - Video tutorial

Model: Maxus G10 MK 1 - Years 2014-2023
Part: Windscreen wipers
Operation: Where is the chassis number of the Maxus G10

On European or American cars, the chassis number (called VIN) is stamped in a point that is often hidden and difficult to reach, different for each make, model and year of construction. Then, it is repeated on a plate placed on the dashboard on the driver's side, but this plate serves only as an acknowledgment, it is not the "legal" chassis number. In fact, if you go to the MCTC and need to have your chassis number checked for some reason, you need to go there knowing where the "real" chassis number of your car is, because it certainly isn't the one on the dashboard. The Chinese of Maxus, who have a different mentality from ours, and with much less preconceptions, have seen fit to eliminate all these problems. On the sill of the driver's door they have inserted a plate with the VIN, removing which one accesses the "real" frame stamped exactly under the repeated one.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
