Where to Find the VIN on the Maxus G10

On European or American vehicles, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is often stamped in a location that is hidden and difficult to reach, varying by make, model, and year. It is also repeated on a tag located on the dashboard on the driver's side, but this tag is only for identification and is not the "legal" VIN. In fact, if you go to the DMV and need to verify the VIN for any reason, you must know where the "true" VIN of your vehicle is, because it is certainly not the one shown on the dashboard. The Chinese at Maxus, who have a different mindset and much fewer preconceptions, have wisely eliminated all these issues. On the door sill of the driver's door, they have placed a tag with the VIN, and by removing it, you can access the "true" VIN stamped directly underneath the repeated one.
