Alternator Replacement Instructions

Model: Mazda 3 BK, MK 1 - Years 2003-2009

The alternator is essential for the proper functioning of all electrical and electronic devices in the vehicle. It is located at the front left of the engine (when viewed from the front) and is driven by the auxiliary belt: it is advisable to disconnect the battery terminals before removing it. Once accessed, loosen the auxiliary belt tensioner and free the pulleys; unscrew the nuts securing the cables connected to the alternator (it is advisable to remove the engine cover and access from underneath), disconnect the plug, unscrew the alternator mounting bolts, and remove it from its location. Then, install the new alternator (excellent refurbished products are available in the aftermarket) and reassemble everything.
