The alternator is an absolutely fundamental element for the correct functioning of all electrical and electronic devices on board the car. It is located in the front left part of the engine (looking at it from the front) and is driven by the auxiliary belt: it is preferable to disconnect the battery poles before disassembling it. Once intercepted, loosen the auxiliary belt tensioner and free the pulleys; unscrew the fixing nuts of the cables connected to the alternator (it is advisable to remove the engine casing and access it from below), disconnect the socket, disassemble the fixing pins of the alternator and remove it from its seat. Then apply the new alternator (it is possible to buy excellent remanufactured products in the after market) and reassemble everything.
