Disassembly of Light Switch Levers

Model: Mazda Mpv LW - Years 1999-2006

To disassemble the light switch levers, it is not necessary to remove the steering wheel and the airbag; it is sufficient to remove the cover shells by unscrewing the screws underneath and separating the two shells that are interlocked, taking care not to damage them (adjust the steering wheel all the way down to facilitate disassembly). At this point, disconnect the connector attached to the control lever, unscrew the two mounting screws (one upper and one lower) and extract the lever by sliding it out of its housing like a drawer. Repeat the same procedure to disassemble the other lever.
