To replace the reverse bulbs on a Mazda 3, lift the tailgate of the boot and remove the rivets securing the carpet at the back of the tailgate. Once the carpet is removed, you will have access to the bulbs: to remove them, simply rotate them within their housing and pull them out. Once removed, disconnect them from their respective connector and insert the new bulb into the designated socket.

After replacing the bulbs, refit the carpet cover with the corresponding rivets.
