To replace the front brake pads on a Mazda CX-9, lift the vehicle with a jack or lift so that the corresponding wheel is off the ground. Once the wheel is raised, loosen its bolts and remove it completely to access the components behind it. Remove the brake caliper by loosening its bolts to extract the pads inside; then, install the new pads and reattach the corresponding wheel.
