Replacing the battery in the Mazda 3 remote key, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick operation. To do this, you will need a small flathead screwdriver and a replacement CR1620 battery.

Start by extending the emergency metal key by pressing the designated button, then lever the screwdriver in the indicated slot located inside the key housing. Once the two halves of the remote are separated, you can open the rear cover, remove the old battery, and insert the replacement.
