In this video we can see how it is possible to replace the key battery of the Mazda CX 9. The material needed for the replacement: a CR 2032 battery, a flat tip screwdriver. If we look closely in the remote control we see a small switch that you will have to slide to the right with the tip of the screwdriver; at this point the shell of the remote control opens in two. In one part of the shell we see the metal key. Now turn the key over and you will see two silver positions, then using the tip of the screwdriver you have to detach the top of the key; now tilt the key and you will see a slot where you need to insert the tip of the screwdriver for leverage. Once you open the lid you see a lid with an arrow, here we find the battery. Remove the non-functional battery and replace it with a new one.
