In this guide for your Mazda CX5 first series (2012-2017), discover how to correctly replace the battery located inside the car key. First, obtain a new button battery (model CR2022) and a standard flathead screwdriver. Next, remove the physical emergency key located at the back of the cover and use the flathead screwdriver to detach the cover itself.

Finally, remove the battery holder and proceed to replace the old battery with the new one. Reassemble everything, and you're done.
