There are many products available for cleaning the engine intake ducts: start the engine and run it at a speed between 2,500 and 3,000 RPM while spraying the appropriate cleaner into the intake duct using a nozzle positioned just before the throttle body.

However, this operation is not without risks: during the cleaning process, a portion of carbon build-up may detach and, rather than dissolving and being expelled through the exhaust gases, could become lodged under a valve, causing significant issues.
