Mazda 3 - Video tutorial

Model: Mazda 3 BL, MK 2 - Years 2009-2013
Part: Airbags
Operation: Removing the airbag control unit

To remove the control unit that manages the operation of the airbag, you must first disconnect the battery. The component is located under the parking brake. In most cases the entire center console should be removed but here it is sufficient to carefully pry the dashboard around the handbrake lever and the small glove box. Once all the clips on the four sides of the dashboard have been released, you can remove it and start unscrewing the screws from the control unit. Open the band that wraps the component and unhook the three electrical connectors by acting on the respective tabs. Car model: Mazda 3 Year: 2010/2014 Tools required: 10mm socket wrench
