How to disassemble the steering wheel airbag of the Mazda 3

Disassembling the steering wheel airbag on a 2012 Mazda three is a simple and quick operation to be carried out independently. We begin the disassembly of the airbag by removing the plastic clips covering the internal screws of the steering wheel. Using a socket wrench with a 10 mm insert, unscrew the right and left side screws from the steering wheel. Remove the central body of the steering wheel containing the airbag and with the help of a flat-head screwdriver, disconnect the connector. Remove the airbag and if necessary, using a socket wrench with a 22 mm insert, remove the nut located behind to release the steering wheel.
