In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the exterior mirror cap on a Mazda CX-9, a very simple and quick operation. First, rotate the mirror inward, then pry along the outer slot and separate it from the mount.

Next, disconnect the small connector, unlock the three clips indicated using flathead screwdrivers, and by prying along the entire perimeter, separate the cap from the mirror. To install the replacement, simply position it and press firmly until it is fully secured.
