Resetting the service light on a 2018 Mazda 3 is necessary after performing the car service operations. To reset, turn on the vehicle's instrument panel and use the buttons on the lower dashboard to scroll through the onboard computer menu and select the "Applications" option.

From the submenu, select "Vehicle Status" and then "Oil Change". Once the cursor is moved to the "ON" option, the service light update will begin, and the mileage for the next service will automatically adjust. Once completed, return to the main menu.
