How do you reset the air conditioner of the Mercedes E-Class?

The air conditioning system installed on the Mercedes E-Class can be reset by turning on the instrument panel, inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot: in this way, once the instrument panel is turned on, it will be possible to hold down the REST and 0 buttons located on the central dashboard panel. By holding down these buttons, it will be noticed that the air conditioning settings will be reset and restored to their original settings; once the reset procedure is complete, the instrument panel can be turned off again permanently.
