To replace the starter motor on a Mercedes A-Class, open the hood to access the components in the engine compartment. Locate the starter motor at the bottom of the compartment, to the right of the engine block and near the flywheel.

Remove it by loosening all the bolts that secure it to its housing and disconnecting the appropriate connectors. At this point, insert the new replacement part and secure it properly.
