Watch this video to learn how to properly check the coolant in a Mercedes vehicle: in this case, it is a C-Class W205, but the method applies to all vehicles of the brand. On the right side of the engine bay, you will find the coolant reservoir: open it when the engine is cold.

It is extremely important to never fill the reservoir to the brim, as the liquid expands when heated and can overflow. Therefore, keep it below the "max" mark, and be sure to top off with a liquid of the same color as that in the reservoir.
