How do you replace the external rearview mirror of the Mercedes GLE?

Model: Mercedes Gle C292 - Years 2015-2019

In order to remove the external rearview mirror of the Mercedes GLE, you have to lever it with an object, so that you can detach the glass that is inserted inside the mirror cap: once this is detached, you can proceed by loosening the screws that fix the mirror to its seat from the inside. This way you can completely detach the piece from its housing in order to insert the new replacement piece: once the new mirror is fixed, you can reinsert the glass to verify that everything works.
