Procedure for replacing the rear brake pads of Mercedes cars.

In this video we see how to retract the rear brake pistons on a Mercedes C-Class: lift the car and secure it on jack stands, then release the electric parking brake by turning on the ignition (the brake must be released); access the service menu by pressing the "return" and "ok" buttons on the steering wheel. Select "brake pad replacement" and confirm. The system will automatically retract the pistons of the rear calipers (you will hear an actuation noise). After replacing the pads, to reset the system, turn on the car, press the brake pedal repeatedly to bring the pistons back into contact with the pads; this should be enough, but if the pistons do not return to position, repeat the previous procedure to extend the actuator.
