If you have the ABS and ESP lights on in your Mercedes W204, it could be a simple sensor error or a more serious issue with the ABS control unit. First, try turning off the car, wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on: sometimes a simple electronic reset is all that is needed. If the lights remain on, check the fuses and the ABS sensor on each wheel, perhaps one is dirty or faulty. If the problem persists, the ABS module may be defective: sometimes it can be repaired, other times it needs to be replaced. After the repair, the lights can be reset with an OBD scanner. If you don't have experience, it's better to have a mechanic do it, to avoid making the situation worse!
