How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class

To change the engine oil and filter on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class, start the engine for a few minutes to slightly warm the lubricant, then turn off the vehicle and lift it safely. Place a container under the oil sump and unscrew the lower plug to allow the old oil to drain completely. Next, open the oil filter housing located in the engine bay and remove the used cartridge. Before fitting the new filter, replace the cover gasket and lubricate it with a bit of clean oil. After closing the filter, re-screw the sump drain plug and pour the new oil from the upper filler neck in the correct quantity. Finally, start the engine, check for leaks, and verify the oil level, adding more if necessary.
