Let's see how to reset the service light on a Mercedes S-Class W222: first, grab the ignition button and pull it out from the dashboard. Insert the physical key into the now accessible slot and turn the key to position "1" (this means the electronics are on but the engine is off). On the steering wheel, press and hold the "ok" button on the left and the call/phone button on the right simultaneously for about 5 seconds.

Release when the dashboard display shows the "vehicle data" or "assyst plus" menu. Press "ok" to select, then choose "full service"; scroll to "confirm service" and press "ok": select "yes" to confirm that the service has been performed, press "home" to return to normal display, and you're done.

Replacing the Gear Knob on the Mercedes Sprinter MK 2

With regular use, the gear knob on the Mercedes Sprinter may show signs of wear that necessitate its replacement. To carry out the replacement, sit in the driver's seat, and using a pair of pliers, rotate the knob left and right to unlock it. Grip the knob and gently pull it off while ensuring that the spring mounted on the lever does not get lost. Take the new knob, align it with the gear pattern, tap it on gently, and finish inserting it using a rubber mallet.
