Replacing Glow Plugs on a Mercedes A-Class

Replace the glow plugs on your car if you are having ignition problems. Here's how to do it. Pull the engine compartment release lever located on the lower left of the dashboard and lift the hood, securing it in place. Disconnect the air intake hose, then remove the coils using a special tool (grasp the plastic bar until it comes out of the cylinder head). Use a socket wrench to unscrew the glow plugs (remove them from the cylinder head) and take the new glow plug, inserting it into the cylinder head with the socket wrench. After replacing all the glow plugs, reinstall the coil bar. Reattach the air intake hose.
