How to Remove the Fuel Filter on a Mercedes A-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe A W168 - Years 1997-2004

Remove the fuel filter located under a Mercedes A-Class. Lift the vehicle on a column lift. Remove the plastic cover that conceals the filter. Locate the filter. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the fastening screws located above the hose clamps. Disconnect the wires and various hoses from the filter. Once the filter is removed, take it out of the vehicle. Clean the filter housing thoroughly, install the new filter (connect the hoses and wires), and tighten the metal clamp screws. Reinstall the plastic covers under the vehicle. Start the vehicle and test it.
