Removing the Fuel Pump on Mercedes SL

Model: Mercedes Sl MK 5, R129 - Years 1989-2001

Not sure how to remove the fuel pump from the Mercedes SL? Let's see how to disassemble and replace the fuel pump. Lift the car with a column lift, remove the cover panel of the pump (if present), and unscrew all the fastening screws around the fuel pump mounting plate. After removing the pump, disconnect the electrical connectors for the pump operation and the fuel circulation hoses. Install the new part and reverse the disassembly steps for the fuel pump. Once assembled, lower the car and test its operation.
