Removing the Central Dashboard on Mercedes SLK R170

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004

After removing the radio (for which you can refer to other tutorials), unscrew the two upper screws located in the space left free by the radio. Remove the cup holder and unscrew the two side screws. Turn the air vents as if they were blowing towards the sky of the cabin, thus creating space to unscrew the two small screws at the top (one screw per vent). Remove the entire plastic piece containing the vents and the central dashboard frame, and disconnect the cables. For reassembling the new parts, proceed in reverse order.
