To access the battery, as shown in the video, it may be necessary to remove the air filter. Once this is done, disconnect the two poles by unscrewing them with a 10 mm wrench (remember to always start by disconnecting the negative pole). Insulate them both with paper tape and unscrew the two 13mm bolts that secure the battery to the bottom bracket. Once you get here, you can take out the battery. Obviously proceed backwards for reassembly, then inserting the battery in its seat, screwing the fixing bolts and connecting the two poles. Check the correct functioning of the new battery.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
