How to Replace the Exterior Rearview Mirror on a Mercedes Benz C220

This guide shows how to replace the exterior rearview mirror on a Mercedes Benz C220 (W204). The first step is to lower the window on the side where you will be working; at this point, you can detach the triangular cover of the mirror by pushing the edge inward toward the vehicle. Disconnect the connector with a small screwdriver. Now you can remove the soundproofing cover. By opening the cover on the edge of the door, you can disconnect the control cable for the mirror. Using a Torx25 screwdriver, unscrew the mounting screws for the mirror; during this step, hold the mirror in place to prevent it from falling. At this point, you need to rotate the mirror upward to help release the lower part and then the upper part. When pulling it off, be careful to ensure the connector comes out. The disassembly procedure is complete; for the reassembly procedure, simply follow the steps in reverse.
